Even though I love reading lots of mommy blogs myself, I am in complete awe at the amount of time that goes into each post, review & giveaway.


I quite enjoy reading all the advice on numerous things, recipes (some get printed for later use), DIY Crafts (Goes a long way with 5 kids ranging in ages, we love crafts!), and of course.. the giveaways!!


When I enter a giveaway I have 3 sets of people in mind.
Myself & My kids.
and occasionally I'm thinking about the odd foster children that are placed in my care for short term, It's mostly babies. (No, I'm not calling foster children ODD. It's a phrase of speech.)


When I say that I'm raising 5 children I didn't give birth too, I mean I'm raising 1 adopted son (who is 4) and my 4 nieces (who lost their mom to cancer & their daddy was injured in Iraq and now has a brain injury). Sad but true. I've been the girls surrogate mom for 4 years now. It's not always easy nor is it always fun, but it's definitely an adventure!


When my ex husband decided he didn't want the girls to stay with us, he told me to make a choice. It was him or them. Hence the reason he is now my EX husband. He was also my 4th marriage. lol.


I'm dating someone now. His name is Roger. He's raising his 4 kids after his ex wife left him for a younger man. She must have been on drugs because Roger is awesome. We make quite a show when we go out and take the kids with us, which is often because neither of us can ever find a babysitter who doesn't want $50 for 4 hours. and No, I don't mean $50 for 9 kids, because that would be a dream. My oldest is 16 and she babysits sometimes providing I am not far from the house, as she has MS. Her disease kicks in when she is stressed (and not stressed, sometimes when she is sleeping!).


Money is ALWAYS tight.
Life isn't easy.
Just enjoying the ride. :)

I know I need to spend a little more time updating my blog and less time reading everyone elses, But after a long day of cleaning, cooking, chauffering (is that spelled right? where's my spell check?!) and the thousand other menial tasks I find myself doing, I just like to read.

Sometimes I forget I have this blog.
I've had blogs before, One I dedicated 2 years to living off the grid, with 5 children, a husband, farm animals and the goat from hell. We no longer live off the grid. Lost the farm, literally, to foreclosure.

All I can say is ... Thank GOD I don't have to milk a cow anymore!! or chase that stupid goat, or listen to my whiney (ex) husband!!

I can raise 5 kids just fine all by myself, buying milk and cheese from the grocery store, with NO pet goats to chase. No 3 acre farms to till, plant, water and harvest.

Life is good :)
